Some of Cross the Creek's Longhorns

Here are some of the Longhorns that call "Cross the Creek" home.

Although we would like to keep them all, we know we can't.  If you would like to take one home with you, send us an email or give us a call.

Come by our place for a visit and let's talk Longhorns.

SMW 552 HaiCoach

HaiCoach is our herd sire as of August 2008.

His sire is Coach and his dam is YO Wichita Twister.

He is a big, gentle bull with good horns and has produced some nice calves at the Hitching Post Ranch in Cedar Creek.  Where we share half interest in Haicoach.

His first calves for us will be on the ground in May 2009.

Ginger came from a local breeder and was the first Longhorn registered to Cross the Creek.

She measured 48" T-T as of 2/08.

Lacey came to us from the Double M Ranch in Victoria, TX.

She gets more spots everytime we look.  Under that white coat is lots of dark skin that continues to come out.

She measured 44" T-T as of 2/08.

Weeds was our first calf born at Cross the Creek.

He is our official greeter, pet and pest.

His horns measure 34" T-T as of 2/08 (20 months).

Burgundy Lace came from Lonesome Pines Longhorns.  I knew that Sherry had to have her as soon as she saw her.  She took First Place in her division at the Star of Texas Show in Austin (March '08)

She measured 33 1/2" T-T as of 2/08.

Archie's Jet (AJ) also came from Lonesome Pines.

Here she is with her 2008 bull calf out of LP Sombrah.

Candance came to us from Lonesome Pines.  We just liked her calm disposition and friendly attitude.

Here she is with her 2008 bull calf out of LP Sombrah.

Star Call

Star came to us from the Lonesome Pines Ranch.

She had a heifer calf on June 10.

The sire is JP Grand Chex http://www.lonesomepinesranch.com/html/Bulls/jpgrandchex.html

Boo  (CWR Boo Meringue) also comes to us from Wes and Carol Chancey.

She is a Boomerang CP daughter. http://www.endoftrailranch.com/sirespage.php?one=1

She also has great horn on her Dam's side  who is a Phenomenon daughter. http://www.cwlonghorns.com/pic-pedigrees/pretentiousme.htm

We are going to breed her to Ironman with hopes of a great offspring.

Boo measured 38 1/4" Tip to Tip July 12, 2008

Flower is the Pasture Queen, the first in line for cubes, and our first Longhorn.

She measured 43 1/2" Tip to Tip as of Feb 08.

You can see her 07 bull "Redbud" (out of Sequel) on the Sale Pen page.

She is bred to Zhivago for a November 08 calf.
